Problem & solution
The problem (your words)
A tool to create dashboards for salary survey data coming from our salary surveys. (What specific metrics or data points should the dashboards include?) base 10, 25, 50, 60, 75, 90th percentiles ttc 10, 25, 50, 60, 75, 90th percentiles ttdc 10, 25, 50, 60, 75, 90th percentiles tcc 10, 25, 50, 60, 75, 90th percentiles tdc 10, 25, 50, 60, 75, 90th percentiles and the various data cuts
The solution
The tool ingests your salary survey Excel exports, normalizes them into a clean benchmark table, and presents an interactive dashboard where a compensation analyst picks a job/benchmark and a data cut and instantly sees the percentile spread (10th, 25th, 50th, 60th, 75th, 90th) for each compensation element: Base, Total Target Cash (TTC), Total Target Direct Comp (TTDC), Total Cash Comp (TCC), and Total Direct Comp (TDC). It produces interactive charts, custom filtered reports, and exportable charts/graphs (image and PDF/Excel). Core v1 workflow: upload a survey file → map its columns to the standard schema → review and confirm the parsed data → browse/filter dashboards → export a report. The "human-approved" piece is the import-confirmation step: parsed data is staged and a person confirms it before it becomes the live dataset. Out of scope for v1: writing back to or syncing with the live salary database (start read-only from file uploads), blending multiple survey vendors into a single re-aged benchmark, automated market pricing/recommendations, and any individual-employee pay data. Keep it to market survey aggregates only.
