The solution
Build an internal manager-facing tool that answers questions about pay philosophy, pay practices, and pay ranges using approved internal HR content; generates coaching scripts for pay conversations; and shows pay range visualizations pulled from the internal HR database. In v1, the tool should inform and coach managers, not autonomously change pay, send employee communications, or finalize compensation actions. Any personalized guidance that references employee-specific range data should be read-only and clearly labeled as manager support content requiring human judgment. Out of scope for v1: automated pay recommendations, direct employee-facing chat, writing compensation changes back to the HR database, and any AI-generated final decisioning on pay outcomes.
